A scenic, guided tour of the Okanagan via road and railway, winding through lush orchards and vineyards above Okanagan Lake. The day begins with a ride on a historic steam train. Next, we’ll venture over to a winery renowned for its history of gambling and even a brothel. After hearing their story, you will have worked up an appetite. Time to enjoy fabulous fare on a European pub style garden patio (cost of lunch not included). The day wouldn’t be complete without a stop at an organic winery and a sampling of their award winning wines. To end our day, we visit Knox Mountain Park for its unparalleled views of the City, lake and surrounding mountains.
Kettle Valley Railway
Built between 1910 and 1915, this 16 kilometre (10 mile) stretch is the only preserved section of the historic “Kootenay to Coast Connection” on the Kettle Valley Railway. “All Aboard!” for a 90 minute ride in cars pulled by a totally restored 1912 steam locomotive. Re-live a bygone era while enjoying the spectacular views of lake and land from the Trout Creek Bridge, 72.5 meters (238 feet) from the canyon floor.
Dirty Laundry Vineyard
This popular, enchanting winery is situated on a plateau high above the original town site. From the spacious vine covered patio, you will overlook the Orchards, Vineyards and Okanagan Lake, as well as the historic trestle bridge at Trout Creek Canyon. The Vineyard at Dirty Laundry has some of the oldest vinifera vines in the Okanagan Valley. Multiple award winning wines and a very unique & fun-filled atmosphere make them Summerland’s #1 winery on Trip Advisor. You will hear the story about a gambling den and brothel and how their name was chosen!
Gasthaus on the Lake
Our luncheon stop is on the beautiful, summertime garden patio of a European inspired restaurant and pub. Opened in the Spring of 2000, Gasthaus has a casual, yet classy, atmosphere. There’s something for everyone on their locally-sourced, freshly prepared menu.

Kalala Organic Estate Winery
Kalala Organic Estate Winery is situated on the Upper Bench of beautiful West Kelowna in the Okanagan Valley. “Kalala” means “Miracle Place” and is the symbol of their commitment to the pursuit of harmony between nature, organic viticulture practices, and their wines. Knox Mountain Park
Knox Mountain Park is the City of Kelowna’s largest Natural Area Park. First dedicated to the City in 1939, the park is 310 hectares (766 acres) in size and is located immediately North of Kelowna’s downtown. The summit of Knox Mountain rises approximately 300 metres (985 feet)above the high water level of Okanagan Lake. Views from the park of the City, lake and surrounding mountains are unparalleled.
